In today’s fast-paced world, mental health plays a crucial role in shaping the overall well-being and success of students. Recognizing its importance, Yeldo Mar Baselios College of Media & Design, Affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, is organizing an Awareness Programme for First-Year Students titled "Healthy Minds: Tips to Live with a Positive Mental Health". The event, scheduled to take place from 29th January to 4th February 2025, will be held in the Media Block from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This initiative is a collaborative effort of the Student Counselling Cell and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The programme aims to equip first-year students with strategies to maintain a positive mental outlook while navigating the challenges of academic life. The session will be led by Ms. Beeba Digil, a seasoned student counsellor with a wealth of experience in guiding young minds. With valuable insights, practical tips, and open discussions, students will learn how to foster resilience, manage stress, and cultivate a balanced mental health routine. Guided by the vision of Prof. K. M George (Principal), the event is supported by Dr. M. K Mohanan (Dean), Ms. Anuja Das P. M (IQAC Coordinator), and Mr. Praful Jose (Programme Coordinator and Student Counselling Cell Member). This thoughtful initiative reaffirms the college’s commitment to supporting its students' mental and emotional well-being.
