On 19 June 2024, the college library hall was abuzz with excitement as students and faculty gathered to celebrate Reading Day and commemorate the legacy of P.N. Panicker, the father of the library movement in Kerala. The event was inaugurated by the esteemed College Dean, Dr. M.K. Mohanan. In his inaugural address, Dr. Mohanan emphasized the importance of reading in personal and professional development. He highlighted the contributions of P.N. Panicker, whose tireless efforts have greatly enriched the culture of reading and learning in Kerala. Dr. Mohanan also encouraged students to cultivate a habit of reading and to utilize the resources available in the college library.
